The Fundació Institut Català de la Cuina (FICC) is a private non-profit association that brings together restaurant professionals, from three stars to small family restaurants, with common interests, needs and concerns for the defense of Catalan gastronomic culture.

The Catalan Institute of Cuisine and Gastronomic Culture Foundation, part of the Food and Nutrition Campus-UB, is a private non-profit foundation and the only institution that brings together federations and guilds in the field of food, related public organizations, as well as catering professionals, producers and distributors and whose main objective is to ensure the recognition of Catalan cuisine. both in the social and institutional spheres, and to strengthen its international dimension. Among the main activities of the FICCG are research, dissemination in various fields, such as school.

Likewise, the FICCG has the Corrdination and Gastronomic Promotion Service, which supports entities, companies, research centers, foundations and guilds that participate in the gastronomy and catering sector, as well as those initiatives linked to gastronomic tourism and heritage.
