Green shops are establishments in Barcelona's municipal markets that are distinguished by their offer of local, organic products, from small producers, farmers or from the market, becoming prescribers of sustainable and responsible food.
Green Trade is the certification granted by Rezero to businesses in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands that have a sustainable offer and make it easier for citizens to consume it consciously. The certification, with more than 15 years of history and 700 affiliated businesses, includes businesses of all kinds that encourage the purchase of bulk products, the reuse and return of packaging, local and/or organic products, reusable products as alternatives to single-use products, and products of social value. With this free certification, businesses increase their visibility through geolocation, a physical badge and project dissemination actions. In addition, they have access to a participation platform, exclusive tools and resources.

The markets are a benchmark in the sale of local, fresh and local agri-food products and, in addition, you are an essential part of the social fabric of our neighborhoods. Matching with the year of Barcelona, capital of sustainable food 2021, from the Gastroteca we have the support of the Municipal Institute of Markets (IMMB) and the Federation of Municipal Markets of Barcelona (FEMM) to promote and give more visibility to market shops that sell food from local producers. We are working on a cross-cutting campaign to promote this channel among consumers and professionals in the sector that provides information on where to buy products from our land.
