Vegetables
Melt the yeast with warm water and add the salt.
Make a volcano with the flour and mix the yeast with it.
Work until you make a homogeneous dough and let it rest covered with a cloth until it doubles in volume.
Make a stir-fry with the onion and tomatoes.
Roll out the dough and spread the stir-fry and roasted vegetables on top.
Salt and top with the herring and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Bake the cake until the dough is cooked.
Variations:
Herring can be substituted for sausage, sausages or loin.
Herring can be replaced by anchovies, which are put on top once the cake has been removed from the oven.
You can put the onion and raw tomatoes on the dough along with the meats and then cook everything together in the oven.
It can be made with ratatouille.
Extra virgin olive oil can be added to the dough.
It can be left to rise a second time, after putting the vegetables in it.
