Also referred to as ‘monyo' ('hair bun') or ‘galet' bread, this is a type of bread that was also at one time made in other nearby areas.

They are small, handmade buns made in the shape of a round base with a long strip wound around and piled on top, rather like a hair bun. In taste they are a little sweeter and with a softer crumb.
