Gavà asparagus

A white, round asparagus that is grown in the fields of the Baix Llobregat. In fact, this is the only area in Catalonia where this vegetable is cultivated due to the unique characteristics of the land, which is sandy and loose. The harvest begins in March and ends in June. Much of its fame comes from the festival that is held in its honour in Gavà.
