Collsacabra bean

This variety of bean has only recently been cultivated in Collsacabra - in the last fifty years. It has replaced the traditional bean of the area, known as the La Serra bean. Its production is very small scale and is in decline.

The bean is very little, with a delicate skin, creamy and from a low plant, resembling the Santa Pau bean, but smaller and darker.
