Originally from Tortosa, this tart has recently been added to the sweet speciality repertoire of neighbouring towns. It is a thin, creamy and very mild tart.

The cóc is made from a dough of olive oil, eggs, milk and sugar. This is cooked and covered with a layer of cottage cheese (mató), preferably made from goat's milk, which is mixed with sugar, eggs and lemon rind. Lastly, it is put under the grill to brown.
