Blanca de Rasquera goat, cabra de Rasquera, cabra blanca, cabra portenca

Also named ‘cabra de Rasquera', ‘cabra blanca' and ‘cabra portenca', this is now the only autochthonous breed of goat in Catalonia, the Catalana goat, which was bred in the Catalan Pyrenees, having died out in the mid-20th century. The Blanca de Rasquera goat is currently bred along the inland areas of the Ebre River in herds found mainly in Horta de Sant Joan, el Perelló, Prat de Compte, Rasquera, Tivenys, Tivissa and Tortosa.
